RiverStage Community Theatre’s 2024–2025 season brought audiences an exciting mix of mystery, holiday tradition, fantasy, contemporary musical theatre, and timeless storytelling. From Agatha Christie’s legendary whodunit to Stephen Sondheim’s beloved fairy tale masterpiece, the season showcased the incredible talent, creativity, and dedication of our performers, directors, designers, technicians, and volunteers.

The season opened with Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, the world’s longest-running play. Audiences were captivated by the suspenseful mystery, clever twists, and unforgettable characters as a group of strangers found themselves trapped together while a murderer lurked among them.

During the holiday season, RiverStage once again partnered with Strictly Ballet to present A Lewisburg Victorian Nutcracker. This cherished community tradition delighted audiences of all ages with beautiful choreography, festive music by Tchaikovsky, and a uniquely local Victorian-era interpretation of the beloved holiday classic.

In February, audiences traveled across time and space with A Wrinkle in Time, adapted from Madeleine L’Engle’s treasured novel. The production brought Meg Murry’s extraordinary journey to life, celebrating courage, love, and the power of individuality through imaginative storytelling and stunning theatrical design.

Spring featured tick, tick… BOOM!, Jonathan Larson’s autobiographical musical about ambition, creativity, and the passage of time. Filled with energy, humor, and heartfelt emotion, the production offered an inspiring glimpse into the life of the visionary composer before his groundbreaking success with Rent.

The season concluded with Into the Woods, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s acclaimed musical that intertwines beloved fairy tale characters into a rich and thought-provoking story about wishes, consequences, family, and community. The production served as a memorable finale to a season filled with imagination, artistry, and exceptional performances.

The 2024–2025 season reflected RiverStage Community Theatre’s commitment to presenting diverse theatrical experiences that entertain, inspire, and bring our community together. We thank our audiences, volunteers, sponsors, and artists for making another remarkable season possible.
