The Valley Players Community Theater Organization is producing the humorous musical comedy, “Nunsense” by Dan Goggin, directed by Joyce Hendricks, with musical direction by Diane Scott. “Nunsense” will be performed Friday July 31 and Saturday August 1 at 7pm, and Sunday August 2 at 2pm at the Courtyard Theater at the Susquehanna Valley Mall.
“Nunsense” is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns staging a fundraiser: ballet-loving Sister Mary Leo (Desirae Mausteller of Williamsport), street-wise Sister Robert Anne (Lizz Hendricks of Selinsgrove), befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia (Kathi Beiter of Danville, the Mother Superior Sister Mary Regina (Susan Diffenderfer of Thompsontown), and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert (Diane Pauling of Lewisburg). Dinner theater tickets with a scrumptious buffet meal are $40. The dinner menu for “Nunsense,” catered by That Kitchen Witch and served buffet-style, includes summer vegetable soup, grilled corn and tomato salad, homemade mac & cheese, baked ham, grilled chicken, and fruit cobbler.
